Chris Meinck and I recorded episode 44 of the everythingicafe.com podcast earlier this week and it’s now available in iTunes. You can also listen to it right here using the embedded audio player above if you’re visiting my site using a Flash-capable web browser.
The everythingiCafe podcast is now more than 1 year old! Chris and I started recording it in November 2010. We’ve had a blast with it so far and hope you are enjoying it as well. If you do, your review in the iTunes store would be greatly appreciated!
[frame]If you haven’t yet written a review of the podcast in the iTunes store, I’ve got some free codes for Smule’s MadPad iPhone app to thank you when you do. If you’ve already written a review, update it. Then just let me know which review is yours and I’ll email you a code. These are valid for the U.S. iTunes Store only.[/frame]
In this episode, Chris and I talked about the Carrier IQ kerfuffle, Apple’s new retail store in Grand Central Station in NYC, the rumored Apple television and more.
I was in the final stages of a head cold when we recorded this episode, so please excuse the condition of my voice and the coughing, which I tried to do well away from the microphone. 🙁
My Teh Awesome of the week was the updated Flipboard app that now works on the iPhone (it had been available for the iPad only previously). Flipboard is a free personalized “magazine” app that pulls news, images and links from your Twitter and Facebook feeds (you can also add custom sources as well).
Chris’s Teh Awesome was the Eye-Fi SD card and the accompanying iPhone and iPad app. The Eye-Fi card will wirelessly upload pictures you take with your digital camera to your computer (there are free companion apps for the Mac and PC available on their site here) and to your iPhone or iPad through the free Eye-Fi app. Chris posted a guide on using an Eye-Fi card in conjunction with an iPad here.
You can join us live as we record the next episode on Tuesday, December 13 at 7 p.m. Eastern time at everythingicafe.com/live.
