iGO My Way navigation app released
True to form, I have acquired yet another iPhone navigation app to review (I’m still working on my review of the Navigon MobileNavigator app as well). The latest entrant to the iPhone navigation app fray for the U.S. market is the iGO My Way 2009 – North America edition app (link opens iTunes). It’s
I dread re-arranging my iPhone apps
Though I’ve more or less ended my free-for-all in buying apps for my iPhone, I do still add a new one to try out periodically. Lately, I’ve found and/or started using again a few apps that I want to move to the first or second page of my home screen given how much I use them, and I simply don’t have the energy to do this. Without folders and even with the place-the-app-you-want-to-move-in-the-dock trick, it’s still tedious to move apps across multiple home screen pages. Apple just had a splashy contest to advertise the 1 billionth download from the App Store, so they clearly know that people are gobbling up apps like there’s no tomorrow.
These are a few of my favorite apps
As you’d expect, I have acquired a large number of apps for my iPhone. I don’t use them all, but since the App Store opened last year, I now own a total of XX apps. I’ll usually try them out for a little while and then delete them from my iPhone if I end up not liking them or find that I’m not using them at all over time.
Call me a pessimist – low hopes for Macworld 2010
I am absolutely for all things Mac. Aside from the fact that I have single-handedly boosted Apple’s sales by at least 10% every year since 2003 starting with the purchase of my first portable, a beloved 12″ PowerBook, I happily attend Apple-related events simply for the thrill of it. I waited in line for the grand opening of the flagship San Francisco, which happened to take place on my birthday. I’ve attended 3 MacWorld Expos (including keynotes at 2 of these). I waited in line for both the first-generation and 3G iPhones. I can’t believe I’m going to admit this in public, but I collect Apple stickers and also have a reasonable stash of shirts building. And, yes, I am made fun of by all of my non-Apple-fan friends and family. Daily.
