If you read my blog, you know that I’ve been waiting and waiting for a true turn-by-turn navigation app for the iPhone for some time now. Sygic put out one of the first comprehensive turn-by-turn apps earlier this month, and I’ve just completed my review of their Mobile Maps North America app (link opens iTunes). It’s not perfect, but it’s pretty damn good in my book, with enough features to make me want to retire my stand-alone TomTom Go 720 GPS device. Read my full review here.
Review of the Ultimate Buds UB5 iPhone Headset (2009 version)
Hawk Pettengill is back with another great review of some iPhone headphones, thoroughly checking out the latest version of the UB5 headset from Ultimate Buds. Hawk has previously contributed to macgirl.net with reviews of the Maximo iP-HS2 headphones and the 2008 version of the UB5 headset from Ultimate Buds. The latest UB5 headset is much improved over the 2008 model – read Hawk’s review here to find out why.

Review of the USBConnect Mercury 3G modem from AT&T
If you read my blog, you’ll know that I agonized for a little while over whether or not to buy a wireless modem to use with my MacBook Air during my commute, all the way to its arrival before I headed out to CES in early January, including some trials and tribulations with AT&T in between. I’ve now had the modem for several months and have had ample opportunity to see how well it works in order to write a review. While it’s not as fast as I’d like in all situations, it puts out satisfactory performance in most situations I’ve encountered. Read my full review here.
Review of the Proporta Maya case for the iPhone
As I mentioned in my recent review of the DecalGirl iPhone 3G skin, I received a Maya pouch case from the great folks at Proporta to review. This is a straightforward slip case that comes in a variety of colors. Reasonably priced at $20, it does a fine job of protecting your iPhone when it’s in a pocket or bag, but it may not be perfect for all users – read my review to find out why.
